Leo Marzolo is the subject of Fred Gray’s portrait painting that now hangs in the lunch room at the P&C. It’s by far my favorite painting in the club’s collection–because of the handling of the paint, of the subject, the inclusion of Leo’s cigar–everything about it. But when I found a photo of Leo Marzolo himself, my estimation of Fred Gray went way up. Here is the painting:
