Emory Seidel was a sculptor and designer who was a member of the P&C. He designed the gold medal, which actually used to be a medal that was given out annually. Of course he designed and executed large projects; he was the subject of an article in the April 1914 issue of the Inland Printer.

I recently acquired a photo of one of Seidel’s more charming pieces, an art deco candelabra. I dearly wish we had a pair of these to light on festive occasions at the club:
